Editorial Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026. This policy explains how content on theconfettibox.co is researched, written, reviewed, and corrected.
Our mission
theconfettibox.co publishes practical, reader-first guides across our journal topics. Every article aims to answer a real question a reader arrives with — not to fill space with generic advice.
How articles are created
- Topic selection. We choose topics based on questions our readers actually ask, gaps in commonly published advice, and seasonal relevance.
- Research. Each article is grounded in publicly available information: official documentation, consumer-protection and safety guidance where relevant, and established reference materials. Claims about materials, sizing, care, or safety are checked against at least two independent sources.
- AI assistance disclosure. Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools as part of our editorial workflow. Every article is then reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by our editorial staff before publication. We do not publish unreviewed automated output. Where an article discusses safety-relevant topics, we add explicit cautions and link to authoritative sources.
- Editorial review. The final editorial check covers accuracy, usefulness, structure, and tone. Articles that do not meet our standards are rewritten or not published.
Sources and links
We prefer linking to primary and authoritative sources (official policies, government safety databases, recognized reference authorities) over secondary aggregators. External links are chosen to help the reader verify or deepen the topic.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us via the contact page. Verified errors are corrected promptly and the article's "Last updated" date is refreshed. Material corrections are noted at the bottom of the article.
Independence and advertising
Editorial content is independent of any commercial placement. If we ever feature or review a product, we describe real trade-offs — what it is good for and what it is not. Sponsored or affiliate relationships, when present, are disclosed in the article itself.
Updates
Guides are periodically revisited and refreshed — the visible "Last updated" date on each article reflects its most recent editorial review.
